Our parish offers many opportunities, through social action, to serve our brothers and sisters in need in our local community and beyond. Parishioners are always invited to help us make a difference. We do this by volunteering and supporting:

Pick up gift tags Nov. 25 & 26
Bring gifts back to church Dec. 2 & 3

Once again, Our Lady Queen of Peace Parish is inviting Christ into our hearts by providing local children with Christmas gifts this Advent season. We are partnering with the same two organizations as last year: Prison Ministry Fellowship and Badger Childhood Cancer Network. BCCN provides gifts to local children being treated for cancer.

Queen of Peace has participated in Project Angel Tree for many years, providing gifts of toys and clothing to around 100 children of incarcerated parents each Christmas season. The gifts we provide are delivered to the children on behalf of the prisoner, with a personal note from the parent. We act as the “in between angels” from parent to child. Incarcerated parents choose to participate in this program through Prison Fellowship.

You can participate by choosing an Angel gift tag, buying either a toy or item of clothing, wrapping the gift, and returning it to the parish on or before 11:00 am Sunday December 3rd. Volunteers from our parish will be delivering the gifts on Dec. 3rd.
You may also choose to volunteer before and after any of the Masses the weekend of Nov. 25 & 26, or before the Masses on Dec. 2 & 3, or you can help with the delivery of gifts on Dec. 3, or help write the notes from the parents.

To volunteer go to the QP website and click on the Angel Tree, or type the link below into your browser, or click the link provided in the QP weekly online newsletter. https://www.signupgenius.com/go/4090B45AEAA2EA20-45586273-angel#/

Angel gift tags will be available in the Gathering Space after all Masses on Nov. 25 and 26.
