Pastoral Care & Health Ministry

Part of belonging to a community means that there’s always support when you need it. OLQP is proud to offer support services for our parishioners and our community. We offer a wide variety of pastoral care and health ministries services. On this page, we invite you to find out more about our services.

How Gratitude Affects Our Health

Please join us on Friday, March 16 as we learn about how gratitude can affect our health and a practical way to develop gratitude into our prayer lives. Our own parish member, Dr. Greta Kuphal, will present on health benefits to practicing gratitude. Dr. Kuphal is a family medicine doctor at UW Health. Sheila Utter, our parish nurse, will present on how to incorporate The Examen from St. Ignatius into our prayer lives.

We will meet at 9:00 a.m. in the gathering space of the church. All parish members are invited to join us.

“Prayer is an aspiration of the heart. It is a simple glance directed to Heaven. It is a cry of gratitude and love in the midst of trial as well as joy.” - St. Therese Lisieux

Pastoral Care

At times in each of our lives, we may need physical, social, emotional, or spiritual assistance. Pastoral Care Ministry provides a caring, listening presence to each person in need. The Pastoral Care team respects the privacy of parishioners and their families through confidentiality. To take part in any Pastoral Care programs, contact Teresa Spevacek at (608) 231.4617, unless otherwise noted.
