Early Childhood (Age 3–K)
Our Lady Queen of Peace Parish offers a very special program for children ages three through kindergarten. The Early Childhood Religious Education program (ECRE) introduces our preschoolers to religion through Bible stories, crafts, games and music at their own developmental levels. The children enjoy meeting others as part of the larger Christian community sharing stories about their families, celebrating the holidays together, and finding out more about God.
The ECRE program begins the first week of October. We hold classes in the school classrooms during the 9:30 a.m. Mass and our schedule follows the school calendar for the days off throughout the year. The children also have the opportunity to participate in Christmas and Easter plays/song programs during the year. Adults and high school students also co-teach the classes.
Get Involved in ECRE
There are a variety of ways parents can involved in the ECRE program. We continue to welcome new commission members to fill up the current ECRE commission. The group meets three times per year to discuss changes and improvements to the ECRE program. We also need new classroom teachers each year and would love to see more parents involved in this fun and rewarding ministry. We supply curriculum, lesson plans, and supplies. If you’re not able to commit to teaching, we welcome behind-the-scenes help as well! Please let us know how you can help.
Vacation Bible School
Imagine a world where curious kids ages four through entering 4th grade become hands-on inventors who discover God lovingly crafts them. Join us for Maker Fun Factory Vacation Bible School on June 12 through June 16 from 8:30 to 11:30 a.m. The week will be filled with amazing experiments, creative games, incredible music, new friends, and much more. Be sure to register for Vacation Bible School before May 1 to take advantage of early bird rates!

- You must mail or drop off payment at the Parish Center, 401 S. Owen Drive, Madison, WI 53711. Make checks payable to Queen of Peace and indicate VBS on the memo line and on the envelope. Please note that there is no way to make a payment online at this time.
- Registration fee is $60.00 per child before May 1 and $65.00 per child after May 1.
